American painter, printmaker, and illustrator. Kathryn Jacobi was born in New York City in . She attended the University of California at Berkley, Los Angeles and Northridge, and also studied at Idyllwild Arts Foundation, the Chouinard Art Institute, Art Center College Of Design, and the Art Center School Of Design. Her paintings and drawings have been exhibited in museums, universities, and galleries throughout the United States as well as in Berlin, Denmark, Madrid, Toronto, and Vancouver. She has also had solo exhibitions in many prestigious galleries both in the United States and abroad. Her illustrative works have appeared in many books and journals including academic and scientific publications. She was also the illustrator for Charlotte Zolotow's Who Is Ben?, a book for young readers. Jacobi has served as Art Director of the Wallace Stevens Journal since . Her most recent work, a series of DreamDances, showcases her new talents with digital photography.
