American author and expert on pattern glass and Tiffin glassware Frederick W. Bickenheuser was a hospital supply salesperson residing in Grove City, Ohio who spent much of his free time researching pattern glass. His focus on Tiffin glassware resulted in three books, and he co-authored a book on the Victorian era glass produced by the U. S. Glass Co.
