Joel Grey, born as Joel David Katz in Cleveland, Ohio, is probably best known for his performance as the Master of Ceremonies in Cabaret for which he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in . He is one of only seven people who have won both a Tony Award and an Academy Award for the same role.
