American commerical, fine art, and documentary photographer. Jeff Dunas has worked commercially as a fashion and beauty photographer for over years while pursuing his personal interest in photo-essays, documentary photography, and a fine art approach to portraits and nudes. He move to Paris and founded Collector's Editions Ltd. which between and published twenty four fine art photography books by various authors. As the former editor and publisher of Collectors Photography Magazine, he interviewed many leading photographers such as Helmut Newton, David Bailey, Ralph Gibson, and Robert Mapplethorpe. He was also the publisher and Editor in Chief of Darkroom Photography magazine which later became Camera & Darkroom. Since returning from Paris to Hollywood, he has photographed countless movie stars, models and entertainers. Among his best known and respected work is State of the Blues (), a collection of portraits of many of the great blues performers, and Up Close & Personal (20), containing portraits of entertainers. Dunas' documentaries include his American Indian Series, Disappearing America, and his recent American Pictures. Dunas has won numerous International Photographer of the Year awards over the years in a wide variety of categories, and was voted Best People Photographer in the International Photography Awards Competition 20.
