We had a store called the Cobourg Bookroom located in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada until 2003. We started selling books on the internet in 1996. Over the years we watched that portion of our sales grow until in 2003 it had reached 75% of our sales while in store sales continued to decline. Thus leading to the decision to close the store and shift exclusively to the internet with our own web site at www.kbookscanada.com. It sounds easy but it was a lot of work reorganizing a huge inventory. We reopened exclusively online in January 2005 as “ kbooks”. By the summer of 2008 we had reached an average of 55 books per day, seven days a week. It was time to expand again and in October 2008 we rented a commercial space to facilitate additional inventory and work space. Our family run business has now expanded from the original two family members to now include 6 staff members to augment the three family members that work on the business. We are currently receiving on average 75 orders per day. kbooks is located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with two locations, one in Toronto and a branch operation based in Niagara Falls, NY. It is from the Niagara Falls location that we mail directly through the USPS to customers based in the USA. Our Canadian customers are serviced from our location in Toronto through Canada Post Terms of Sale: Customer Commitment.We take our responsibility to you our customer very seriously. Every effort is made to ensure that books are properly described and any faults noted.If, for any reason, the book is not to your satisfaction, please return within seven days for a full refund.All domestic orders are shipped within 24 hours of payment confirmation. |
