Publisher: 1986, Washington DC and Ipsden, Oxford:. Two letters of inquiry to Chatwin and his reply by signed holograph letter and postcard. The correspondence concerns Chatwin's knowledge of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid as they apparently resided in Patagonia. Chatwin states 'As you can read into the text of 'In Patagonis': This was not serious history!' His correspondents relate in the second letter that one of Chatwin's guides in Patagonia is now serving time in Utah for the strangulation of his wife. Bruce repies in his postcard '.. was a weirdo.
