ANTIQUE OPALINE GLASS VASE.  Picture
Manufacturer: Unknown. C. 1900..
3-mold blown with fire polished mold lines & pontil, and sheared flared mouth. Semi-opaque with fiery opalesence. 6" h. The bulbous body has a scrolling design except for a band of 9 panels each filled with raised dots. The lower knop on the neck has 6 sections each with a pattern on enclosed diminishing arches. Shown in Warman's "Milk Glass Addendum," Plate 83B where he calls it "Dandy Scroll." C. 1900. Small chip on the outer rim of the mouth o/w Fine (No defects).

SCARCE STRAWBERRY DIAMOND & FAN CUT GLASS PEPPER SHAKER.  Picture

Crystal. 3 1/4" h. including lid. Bulbous bottom cut in "Strawberry Diamond & Fan" pattern. Tall, pinched neck formed by 6 panels each separated by a line of notches. Polished bottom. Original Britannia metal collar with screw-on lid. Unsigned. Shown in an early 1890s Barbour Silver Co. catalog as part of theindividual s&p castor, and with a s&p & mustard castor both in silverplate.Both contain a salt shaker in the same cut pattern, but in a squat, bulbousshape. Also shown in a 1908 Sears, Roebuck catalog as part of the sameindividual castor (See photo). The salt shaker {sans pepper shaker) is alsoshown along with other tableware in this cut pattern in 1895 & 1896Montgomery Ward catalogs next to "Czarina," Fostoria's #444 pressedimitation of the tableware pieces in the cut pattern first marketed in 1894. (Cf. Kamm,5th Book, Plate 14). Fine (No defects).

Mold roughness (and possibly a tiny chip on themold line around the bottom of the foot. 3 minor dings on the lip.
