It was the only building at Little America in which there was no trouble with moisture in the walls and ceiling. Celotex worked as perfectly in the Antartic as in the United States."" The former history covers the period from the beginning in 1735 to 1916 and the second one is the record from 1916 to 1935. U.S. of America" with a message dated July 30, 1914 from Herman T. Young to his wife & daughter stating he was leaving July 30th and would arrive at Baltimore August 11th. World War I began July 28th. Herman T. Young (born 1856) was born in Germany in 1856 and immigrated in to U.S. in 1872. He owned a marble cutting shop in Catawissa.
