A total of 132 issues (one issue covered two numbers), all octavos in wraps (not bound sets), about 50 - 100 pages each, somewhat larger as time went on. Each contains a few essays and reviews on Western American fiction and nonfiction by and about some of the greatest writers in the field in the last third of the 20th century. Published at the beginning by Colorado State University, but from the mid-70's onward by the Western Literature Association in association with Utah State University.
