King, Marian, Illustrated by: Smock, Nell Stolp
Publisher: Albert Whitman & Co., 1939 Chicago, IL.
Book. Book condition: Very Good. Fair to Good. Hardcover 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall Junior Press Books. "Piccolino, a little gray and brown donkey, pulls one of the most beautiful carts in Sicily. It has two wheels. It is painted in the brightest colors. And when Piccolino is happy, the cart travels very fast indeed. He and his master Micco present such a dashing picture that they are selected to join a circus and travel about in Europe. But neither Piccolino nor his young master like circus life and are very homesick. How the pair return to their beloved Sicily makes a very attractive little story for the youngest readers. Piccolino is fully illustrated in colors and in black and white." 32 pages. Book is in VERY GOOD condition. Dust jacket is in FAIR to GOOD condition; shelfwear, but complete.
