Authored by Clarence Monroe Burton, a historian who was an obsessive-compulsive collector of documents relating to Detroit history. Edited by Milo M. Quaife, dean of historians of the Midwest. ; Almost no visible wear. However, a faint dampstain affects the upper edge, nearly invisble on text pages but affecting small areas along the tops of the plates, not affecting the photos. Front cover is also partly discolored. Interior is free of marks or scribbles. Binding is tight. (No date but plate opposite pg 192 is dated 1951)
