This was Jolson’s “terrific hit” in the NY Winter Garden production, “Dancing Around.” An early Tin Pan Alley tune for the German born American songwriter Kahn (1886-1941). Grace LeBoy married him in 1916, and none other than Doris Day played her in the 1951 film “I’ll See You in My Dreams,” a biopic based on one of Kahn’s most famous songs.
