Rich yellow wraps printed in black and red. 24 pages, fully illustrated with B&W images of horses in harness, saddles, collars, and other tack. Not dated, but throughout there is an appeal to use the products of the farm to run the farm, including the statement 'When it becomes possible to build Farm Tractor of materials mined on the Farm and when gasoline and oil can be made of the products of the Farm, then and not until then will mechanical power for the production of Farm Crops be as economical as Home Grown Horse and Mule Power.' (Might well have been written for today!) Probably c. 1920s although Sells wholesale catalog 53 is dated 1908. One assumes that this consumer catalog was a separately-numbered series. Lower part of front cover announces that Dealer's name can be printed in the provided space. Something of a cry of desperation throughout. CONDITION: This copy is in very good condition with a some finger-soil inside front cover, rear cover corner creased, small amount of bio-predation on margin corner of last two pages (not affecting text area).
