First edition A loose folio of 20 color plates illustrating Pennsylvania German design motifs, with a single page introduction by Benjamin Knotts. Part of the museum's 'Index of American Design' series. The plates have some modest edge toning and very light edge wear. The folio cover, a canvas spine on paper covered boards, has moderate corner wear (rounding, with a creased top front cover) and about a half inch tear and some fraying at the head of the spine.
