Early contact with tribes of the Philippines and Sulus, including languages, customs, culture. Landor's trip took one year, Liverpool to Liverpool. His observations were careful and insightful, and his writing is imbued with a sometimes impish wit and humorous understatement. In very good condition, map in very good condition, slight fading to spine and cover edges where this volume sat between other books, spine foot heeled under a tad, minute rubs to some corners, otherwise a very clean tight unmarked copy.
