Hardcover. Language: English. Pages: 149. Condition: Very Good/Very good This is not the 1947 Collins edition and not ex-library. Overall a very good, solid edition of the March 1941 printing of this book, scarce in this condition. Red cloth boards-with gilt lettering on spine-clean and bright though corners bent. Sewn binding sound. Interior unmarked and clean. Un-priceclipped dustjacket remarkably complete with a little wrinkling at edges, rubbed and stained with age, and spine tanned. Light foxing to page edges, also to endpages. With a frontispiece by Jack B. Yeats. The recollections of Thomas Bodkin, born in Dublin, who became Director of the National Gallery of Ireland and later the Barber Institute, where he acquired the finest art for the city. He used radio, then still in its infancy, to promote the museum.
