The end sheets are silk with a matching silk placement ribbon sewn-in at the head of the spine. All edges of the text block are gilt. An octavo measuring 8 3/4" by 5 1/2" containing 341 pages of text and illustrated by James Campbell. Signed by the author on the third free end paper. Laid-in at the front of the book is the publisher's 22 page "notes from the editors". An extremely handsome, crisp clean copy with no prior owner's names, dates, inscriptions or book plates.
