Everts, Baskin and Stewart
Combination Atlas Map of McHenry County, Illinois

Publisher: Everts, Baskin and Stewart Chicago 1872.
Poor with no dust jacket Hardcover Colorized township maps, plus many B&W illustrations of businesses, institutions, homes and farms. Poor condition; but complete except for the flyleaves. The title page, contents page, and Illinois state map are soiled and heavily edgeworn, and have been amateurishly backed with paper at the edges. Some edgewear in fore-edge margins of pages. There are some taped tears; again, mostly in the fore-edge margins. 1-1/2" of the fore-edge of the illustration at page 15 has been clipped off. The bottom corner of the illustration at page 28 has been torn off, just touching the image. All other maps and illustrations complete. Some staining, smudging to the pages, mostly to the reverse and in the margins; for the most part, the maps and illustrations have a bit of scattered soil, but are relatively clean. The last three pages, containing the "Patrons' Directory", are edgeworn, but no loss of text. The last page (65/66) is detached, but present. The binding is worn. Brown tape has been applied over the spine and board edges at some time in the distant past; this tape is working loose. ; 17 x 14"; 66 pages

Scott, Rose Moss
Illinois State History of the Daughters of the American Revolution

Publisher: Illinois Printing Company Danville, Ill. 1929.
Apparently an ex-library copy with only one mark within the book in very good+ condition in dark blue cloth covered boards with extensive blind embossing and with a raised title block on the spine and a white text block on the front board. The cloth at the head and heel of the spine is rubbed. The sole evidence of this having been a library copy is the presence of a tiny stamp on the first free end page stating "Withdrawn - Ruthrauff Library". Without a dust jacket if it ever had one. 463 pages of text and half-tone illustrations followed by approximately fifty pages for historical note taking. Our code number = TB20538
