Warner Bros. Presents MY FAIR LADY.

Publisher: Warner Brothers Pictures, Inc. (1964)..
Unpaginated [24pp. sic]. 8 1/2' x 11'. Glossy, color-illustrated wraps by Robert Peak in pink, white, black & touches of blue & yellow (same design he used on the movies' poster). Front & back endpapers illustrated by Peak in b/w. Many color & b/w photos from the movie & the production of this Warner Bros. film starring Audrey Hepburn & Rex Harrison. Bob Peak (1927-1992) is considered the father of the modern movie poster. I presume this is a movie souvenir, but it is a softcover & has 8 fewer pages than the hardcover edition offered for sale at movie theaters. The last page states that additional copies are available from Alsid Distributors, Inc. (New York) for one dollar. 'August 16, 1965' written in ballpoint in the bottom right corner of the front endpaper o/w Fine (No defects). NOTE: Shipping for this item via 1st Class Mail is $2.50. Your shipping charge will appear as $4.00 in the Shopping Cart, but will be lowered before your credit card is charged.

[Efrem Zimbalist Jr. ]
*Signed* Movie Still of Efrem Zimbalist Jr

Condition: Good. Photograph. Signed. Good. Corner creases, tape on back, Board & Bagged, *AUTOGRAPHED/SIGNED* by Efrem Zimbalist Jr. on top edge of photo. Black & White Movie Still. Probably from the movie "The Chapman Report". Also included in photo are Andrew Duggan and 2 other gentlemen. SEE SCAN [ Biography for Efrem Zimbalist Jr. Height 6' (1.83 m) Mini biography Hardly surprising that the son of concert violinist Efrem Zimbalist (1889-1985) and opera singer Alma Gluck (1884-1938) would desire a performing career of some kind. Born in New York City in 1918 and surrounded by people of wealth and privilege throughout his childhood, Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. trained at both the Yale School of Drama and the Neighborhood Playhouse, and was an NBC radio page at the onset. Following war service in which he earned a Purple Heart, director and friend of the family Garson Kanin gave the aspiring actor his first professional role in his Broadway production of "The Rugged Path" (1945) which starred Spencer Tracy. With his dark, friendly, clean-scrubbed good looks and a deep, rich voice that could cut butter, Zimbalist found little trouble finding work. He continued with the American Repertory Theatre performing in such classics as "Henry VIII" and "Androcles and the Lion" while appearing opposite the legendary Eva Le Gallienne in "Hedda Gabler. " An auspicious film debut opposite Edward G. Robinson in House of Strangers (1949) brought little career momentum due to the untimely death of his wife Emily (and mother of his two children) to cancer in 1950. Making an abrupt decision to abandon acting, he served as assistant director/researcher at the Curtis School of Music for his father and buried himself with studies and music composition. ] .

Davis, Clark.
TEENAGE STRANGLER: 8 Original Scene Cards from the Film.
 Picture
Publisher: Original Six Productions, Inc. 1967. (1967)..
8' x 10' b/w photos mounted on 11' x 14' heavy stock. Each is titled 'Creative Film Enterprises, Inc. presents an Original Six Production/ TEENAGE STRANGLER Eastman Color/ Starring: Stacy Smith . William Bloom . Rick Harris/ Original Screenplay by Clark David . Directed by Ben Parker'. The bottom left side of the photos reads 'Copyrights 1967, Original Six Productions, Inc. Permission granted for Newspaper and Magazine reproduction (Made in U.S.A.)' & the bottom right 'Property of National Screen Service Corp. Licensed for display only in connection with the exhibition of this picture at your theatre. Must be returned immediately thereafter.' followed by '67/278', The National Screen Service number. Four of the photos are hand-number with the prefix 'TB -' followed by 7, 8, 9 & 10. The other four have printed numbers 51, 53, 54 & 55. The movie was idea of 6 Huntington, West Virginia businessmen who brought the director from New York City to produce it in 2 weeks with a local cast. The legendry Godfather of Gore, Herschell Gordon Lewis, bought the film the same year it was released & it was shown around the country at drive-ins as a double-bill along with his own 1967 'A Taste of Blood'. Long forgotten, it has had a recent revival as a classic drive-in B-movie, and has even been screened at an Italian film festival. The photos all have corners creases where they where inserted into the tabs on the mounts - some worse than others. The right side of TS-7 has a crease between two 1/8' edge tears. TS-9 has scar in the upper right corner of the photo. The right margin of TS-10 has a 5/8' tear & a crease from its end extending back to the beginning of the margin 2' above the beginning of the tear, a hole in mouth of the subject (see scan), & damage from masking tape in the center of the top & bottom of its mount. 51 through 55 have paper titles pasted over the originals, which appear to differ only in the absence of the blurb from the National Screen Service Corp. 51 has spots of discoloration. The upper right corner of 53 is now torn where there once was only a crease, & has stains where a tape repair was once made. See scans & photos for details.
