Automobiles date these to the late 1950s. Photos were probably taken by a car man as the trolley numbers are recorded in pencil on the rear. The jacket blurb touts this Philadelphia system as a model for running a successful light rail system. Nicely reproduced vintage photographs, and plenty of historical text. Mild bumps to tips but otherwise a clean, sound copy. The jacket is complete but with light edge wear, short tears at the head of the spine, and the title to the spine lettering should be red, we believe, but is sunned to gray.
