Dated 1855 but appears to be a bit later, perhaps 1885. ; 1) Pelham, or Adventures of a Gentleman, with prefaces to 1828, 1840, 1848 editions. 2) Paul Clifford, with prefaces to 1840, 1848 editions. Yes, this is the infamous novel that begins 'It was a dark and stormy night'. 3) Tomlinsonia, or, The Posthumous Writings of the Celebrated Augustus Tomlinson. 4) Zanoni, with dedicatory epistle from 1845 edition and preface to 1853 edition. 5) Falkland, with prefatory note. ; Moderate edgewear. The main defect is that most of the gilt has worn off the spine, leaving it essentially unreadable. Gilt on front is mostly bright, with some patches a bit dull, but overall quite attractive.
