These appear to be extensive lecture notes taken by the wife of the Reverend G.M. Hamilton (whose name appears in pencil on the paper wrapper protecting the binding). Simpson had founded the Christian and Missionary Alliance in 1887. Dated Columbus Day in 1892, this manuscript witnesses the spread of Simpson's teaching even among the clergy of New York City.
