First Edition Good+ in dark blue cloth covered boards with gilt text and decorations on the spine and front board with illustrated paper end sheets. The cloth at the head and heel of the spine is worn and rubbed as are the lower edges of the boards and there is a narrow 3" long (paint?) stain at the lower edge of the front board. The preliminaries show mild foxing as do some of the margin areas for the plates. The numbered text pages show what appears to be a printers error with light brown dots forming horizontal lines across each page. This issue does not impact on any of the pages of plates. Without a dust jacket. A limited first edition with production for this title limited to 1, 000 copies and this one is identified as number 302 on the special limitation page. A quarto measuring 11 3/8" tall by 9" deep containing 48 numbered pages followed by 103 plates 24 of which are tipped-in full color plates. Our code number = TB22537
