National Cloak and Suit Co.
The National Money-Saving Style Book: Fall and Winter 1915-1916
Publisher: National Cloak and Suit Co. New York City 1915 Thick catalog with color cover featuring vignette of two young women. 509 pages fully illustrated with thousands of B&W images and many full-page color plates of 1915 fashions! The colors are outstanding on these pages. This high-fashion catalog covers men's, women's, and children's clothing, suits, coats, hats, shoes, underwear, with sections on jewelry, gloves, millinary doo-dads and other accessories. Also sewing machines, etc. In good condition with corner creases and moderate wear to cover, spine ends chipped, a few lower page corners creased, one missing a small chip. An immeasurably useful resource for determining styles of the era (right down to the year) for photo collectors, vintage clothing curators, etc. and an unending inspiration for designers of all types. And oh-ho, wouldn't we love to be able to wear those gorgeous hats, ladies? I'd skip the high-button shoes, though. This is an item that is difficult to part with!
