There is light wear to the edges and corners and the ends of the covers curl out a bit rather than lying flat against book. ; Oblong 16mo; Unpaginated pages; Max's parents announce that this is his big day. They dress him up in his best sweater and take him to the barber for his first haircut. When he sees the barber shop and all it paraphernali a, he is apprehensive, but when the barber asks if he should just cut the top off, Max's imagination runs away with him and time stands still as he runs out the door. After an adventure with a fire truck and the old clock in the tower, he is ready to come back in the the barber, for the old clock has explained that the barber will only cut his hair, not his head, off.
