The author and her husband spent 34 years as missionaries among the Bantu people around Lake Victoria in Kenya. This self-published book records a varied selection of the orally transmitted tales the author collected during that time. Illustrated with small b/w line drawings by the couple's daughter, Martha Hoyt McCallum, and b/w photographs by the author's husband, Fred N. Hoyt.
