Stallworthy, Jon
Root and Branch
Publisher: Oxford University Press New York 1969 Terra-cotta colored cloth over boards with gilt stamped spine title, in color illustrated dust jacket. 63 pages. Lives in moments of crisis are captured in this book, including the poet's own crises of the birth of a 'mongol' son. Very intense stuff, well conveyed by one of England's better contemporary poets. This books saw several reprints, unusual for a book of poetry. POETRY 3423 First US Edition Very Good Plus Dust Jacket Hard Cover Fine Condition 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall Poetry

Verlaine, Paul , Illustrated by: Raquel Forner
Oeuvres Poetiques: Fetes Glantes Romances Sans Paroles Parallelement
Publisher: Viau Buenos Aires Argentina 1942 TEXT IS IN FRENCH. Gray-blue printed wraps with original glasseine wrapper over plain heavy paper covers. Number 839 of an edition of 1500 on Holland paper. (Presumed first edition, simultaneous with other formats.) Book and DJ have short split at head of spine, wear with small loss at head and foot of spine, corners rubbed. The glasseine wrapper is discolored and tattered along the edges, but rare to find it still present. In all honesty, the darned thing should be removed and either deacidified and preserved, or tossed in the trash. Buyer's call on that one. Internally clean, with a few creased lower page corners. A reasonably good copy of this fragile production. POETRY 5046 First Edition Good Dust Jacket Paperbound Good Condition Small 4to - over 9-1/4" - 12" Tall Poetry
