Publisher: Haldeman-Julius Company [Kansas] 1943 Thin gray paper wraps. 24 pages. Haldeman-Julius pubished the 'Little Blue Books' but also produced some of these larger-format booklets. Shackleford's account of Western gunfighters is a little classic. Deals with the Murrell Gang, vigilantes, Henry Plummer, Joseph Slade, Wild Bill Hickock, William Bonney, Billy the Kid, James Younger, etc. and their place in the history of the Old West. Cover has light wear at spine edge and some pressure-marks on front cover. Internal paper is of inferior quality and age-toned, but clean and without marks or tears.
