First Edition Thin pamphlet, about 9 inches tall, in paper wraps. 29 pages. This early government document relates the progress of the building of the Erie Canal, particularly the middle section. The covers are seriously toned and the rear cover has some ink writing, probably a previous owner name. Moderate marginal foxing especially to the first leaf after the cover. While this isn't a particularly well produced item, it is useful for exploring the route of the canal. Clean and sound with a touch of edge wear. Softcover Softcover Very Good

First Edition Trade paperback, about 9 inches tall, in yellow wraps. 181 pages with a fold-out map. An early 20th century assessment of a major 19th century infrastructure. Inside is clean and sound. There is shallow chipping to the covers especially top front, and the front cover is starting to tear away at the glue line. The covers are generally fragile and very lightly soiled.
