A very nicely produced recent local history of this scenic northeast Washington county bordering British Columbia, and purportedly the last area of the continental U.S. to be homesteaded. Plenty of family information as usual with such histories but this one is much more than usual a formal history of the place including Indian inhabitants, early settlers, mining and logging, founding of towns and important businesses, etc. SIGNED BY THE AUTHORS ON THE HALF TITLE.
