Very Good in Good+ dust jacket J.A. Allen and Co First Edition; First Printing Hardcover The book is in very good condition and has end papers decorated with black and white drawings. The dust jacket has two tears of about one inch long each at the bottom of the front, and a smaller tear at the top of the spine on the back side. Otherwise, the jacket has minor wear. There is some surface paper missing from the inside front flap of jacket where a label was removed. Jacket is protected in new mylar sleeve. In the image, the front of the dustjacket is on the left, the back is on the right. ; 8vo; 68 pages; This history of the side-saddle is illustrated with black and white drawings and 22 monochrome plates. Frontispiece matches the cover illustration. There is an index and bibliography. Introduction by Mrs. Nubar Gulbenkian.
