In a fine, unclipped dust jacket. This is copy number 601 of only 750 copies printed as noted on the book plate pasted to the front end paper which is also signed by the author. The subject of this narrative, Thomas C. Collins, kept four journals of which the editor, Roush, has knitted together the life and adventures of a 19th century riverboat man in the Ohio River valley. His journals provide a unique first-person insight into early frontier days and the life on a big river. 245 pages followed by an index.
