Calendar sheet printed in black & red, 30.5 x 22.75 cm., for December 1941, listing movies to be shown at New Loring Hall. "Soldiers & Sailors in Uniform-- Admission 25 Tax Included." "Mat. 1.50 -- Sundays 2.30 Cont." "Evenings 7.45"-- almost as expensive as movies today! Shows were Honky Tonk & Bride Wore Crutches; Strawberry Blonde & Private Nurse; Nothing But the Truth & Two in a Taxi; Lady Be Good & Forced Landing; Bride Came C.O.D. & Wide Open Town; Underground & Harmon of Michigan; This Woman Is Mine & Tillie the Toiler; Weekend in Havana & Blondie in Society; Belle Starr & New York Town; Hold Back the Dawn & Never Give a Sucker an Even Break. "Continuous Show Sundays, Christmas Day and New Year's Day Starting at 2:30." Folding map.12 panels. 67x48 cm. Date: a note says "Status when U.S. entered the war." Issued early in 1942 as much of the military situation reflects 1941 events. Someone has used pencil to cross out Guam and other casualties of the Japanese surge. Lowell Thomas' name appears only because as an NBC newscaster, he reported much of what was happening. Stock# 34849. Good, but some folds torn.
