Limited first edition Fine in royal blue cloth covered boards with gilt text and decorations on the spine and with a blind embossed boarder on the front board. A small quarto measuring 10" by 7". Without its seldom seen and fragile glassine dust wrapper. The book is contained within a very good printed, paper covered slip case with wear around the edges of the opening. One of only 675 copies printed, 112 of which were sent to England for sale and the remaining 525 were for sale in the US. Signed, dated and inscribed by the author on the first free end page in the year of publication. 54 pages followed by a fold out map of "A Plan of Havana". Illustrated with a second map and with a number of contemporary works of art. The British capture of the port of Havana signaled the end of the domination of Spanish rule in The New World and put the British Navy in a position to control the Caribbean.Our code number = TB24551
