First Edition Hardback folio, about 12.5 inches tall, in half black cloth on brown cloth covered boards. 201 pages illustrated by photographs, ad copy, photographic endpapers. A history of Western Cutlery of Boulder (later Longmont) Colorado, and the businesses in New York and Pennsylvania from which it grew. The author is the great grandson of H.N. Platts who moved west to establish the company. An excellent company history with indispensible information for collectors of the company's knives. SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR ON THE HALF TITLE. Barely a hint of edgewear to the clean, soundly bound book. The jacket is complete and untorn except for a tiny edge tear or two, and with minor edge wear.
