The Lone Scout of the Sky: The Story of Charles A. Lindbergh.
Author: West, James E. Publisher: New York: Boy Scouts of America, 1927.
First edition, First printing Hardback octavo in green cloth stamped in black. 255 pages illustrated by photographs, and scaled drawings for a model. Frontis of uniformed scout with historical figures in the background. This is the first edition of the book with publishing attributed to the Boy Scouts only, not the 1928 version with additional post-flight information and published by John C. Winston for the Boy Scounts. An early Lindbergh biography for older boys, a laudatory one, naturally. Lovely copy with barely a hint of wear and very minor even toning to the text. Lacks the jacket. Hardcover Hardcover Near fine
Price: US$80.00. Quantity available: 1.
