Much of the information is drawn from the official records of the U.S. Coast Guard at the National Archives. Chapters include: The Rising Tide; Tricks and Tactics; Along the Pacific Coast; In Southern Waters; Ships that Did Not Pass; etc. An important reference to this aspect of the underworld created by Prohibition. Bound in red cloth over boards with black and gilt stamping to spine, gilt stamped illustration to upper board, endpaper maps.
