I: "A large collection of bibliography, publications of various books clubs, town histories and genealogies, early American school books, catechisms, hymn books, Bibles, early Hawaiian pamphlets. Few English histories, presentation copies, association books, some with rare American book-plates. General Nathaneal Greene's Orderly Books during the Revolutionary War, 1781-2, while in command of the Southern department." II: ".. early Massachusetts folio session laws, resolves and house journals, including the Edward Randolph Notification of 1683, session law of 1693. Acts and laws from 1714, folio resolves from 1776 and during the Revolutionary War, Mass. House journals from 1763, containing important messages in regard to the Stamp Act, petition of Gov. Hutchinson in regard to the destruction of his dwelling, letters to the Earl of Hillsborough, petition for the removal of troops and removal of the general court to Harvard College, the Mass. and N.Y. boundary dispute, 1764, etc. Collection of works of the Mathers, and other early New England divines, rare New England primers, Henry VIII primer and the royal primer, Stamp Act and other Revolutionary tracts, trials, Washingtoniana, Witchcraft, Worcester Society of Antiquity publications, etc." Laid in loose are a newspaper review of sale and extensive bidding notes and a letter from Wilder's Bookshop to the Watkinson Library in Hartford, Conn. regretting the loss of one item. A very significant sale of Americana with many rare items especially related to New England. A very good set. Part I with scattered pencil notations, ; Part II with notation on front wrapper, chips and soiling to rear wrapper, prices realized for several items noted.

SHIPPING For Domestic orders, shipping and handling is $4.00 for the first book and $1.50 for each additional volume, bookrate. For Priority Mail, add $2.50 for the first volume. Very large or extra heavy books may incur an additional fee. Books are normally shipped USPS book rate unless another method is specified. For Express Mail or other needs, please contact us.
For International orders, shipping and handling is calculated individually.Suggested shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.0 LB, or a bit less than 1 KG. If your book order is heavy, oversized, or a set we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. PLEASE NOTE THAT SURFACE MAIL IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE ON INTERNATIONAL ORDERS from the US. Standard rate is now airmail (good up until 4 lbs) and is not insurable. Priority Mail is good for any order and is insurable. Many, though not all books, can fit boxed in a US flat rate Priority envelope and can be shipped for $14.00 International ($11.00 Canada and Mexico). We will automatically use this method if possible and reduce your charges accordingly. All items are shipped boxed. All items are insured.
RETURNS All books may be returned in original condition for any reason within two weeks with prior notification.
