Heavy black coated paper with silver lettering. A series of three-hole-punched pages that in this case have been bound with cord. Page numbers vary, about 1-1/2 inch thick. Covers all phases of survival for various climates and terrains, including orienteering, edible wild plants, first aid, shelter, poisonous snakes and fish, survival techniques. Richard probably took this book to the Island. A couple of notes in ink on amputations (!) on the title page, otherwise this is a solid clean copy that could use a bit better binding technique.
