   Echoes From Storyland.
Author: Anonymous.
Publisher: New York: McLoughlin Brothers, No date (ca. 1890).

No Edition Indicated Beige cloth spine lettered in red on white paper covered boards illustrated by a chromolithograph of a very pretty Little Red Riding Hood front and back. Unpaginated, about 60 pages with 24 color illustrations, mostly full page, and many other black and white drawings, some full page. Beautifully illustrated Victorian children's book with excellent chromolithography typical of the publisher during this period. It contains several classical tales, among them, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Robinson Crusoe, a collection of Nursery Rhymes, and Pauline and the Matches (a gruesome story we've never noted outside of the Slovenly Peter collection). Moderate soiling to the covers; edge wear with corners rounded and worn to the boards. Floral endpapers notably browned, but the text toned only very lightly. A couple of the illustrations are a bit out-of-register. Hardback octavo Hardback octavo Very good
