Joan Bennett
American film and TV actress. Joan Geraldine Bennett (1910 – 1990) was a popular ingénue in many films through the 1930s and 1940s. During the 1950s, she expanded beyond her femme-fatale roles starting with Father of the Bride in which she co-starred with Spencer Tracy. Bennett final years as an actress where mostly in television where she was best known for her role in the gothic soap opera Dark Shadows. She wrote an autobiography in 1970 titled The Bennett Playbill.
