Clifford Arquette
American actor, comedian, and writer famous for his role as "Charley Weaver". Arquette (1905 – 1974) performed in radio, theatre, and motion pictures until he retired from show business in 1956. His retirement was interrupted when he agreed to be regular on Jack Paar's The Tonight Show in 1959. Later he appeared as "Charley Weaver" on Johnny Carson's The Tonight Show. His famous "Letters from Mamma" were compiled and published as books. He is the father of the late actor Lewis Arquette, and the grandfather of actors Patricia, Rosanna, Alexis, Richmond and David Arquette.
