Sample Autograph Signature: Brad Anderson

American cartoonist and creator of the comic strip Marmaduke. Brad Anderson was born in Jamestown, New York in 1924. He enjoyed a lifelong interest in sketching cartoons and began his freelance career as a teenager and continued while serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After attending Syracuse University's School of Fine Arts, he created the daily comic strip Marmaduke, featuring the affable and loveable Great Dane dog, which first appeared in newspapers in 1954 and has become one of the longest running comic strips ever. In 1976, Anderson won the National Cartoonist Society's "Reuben Award for Best Panel".
