William Holtz
Professor Emeritus of English at the University of Missouri-Columbia, author and editor. According his memoir, Gathering the Family (1993), William V. Holtz grew up in an impoverished family in a small town in Michigan during the Depression. He is the author of Image And Immortality; A Study Of Tristram Shandy (1970), Dorothy Thompson and Rose Wilder Lane: Forty Years of Friendship, Letters, 1921-1960 (1991), and the widely acclaimed The Ghost in the Little House: A Life of Rose Wilder Lane (1993). He also edited Two Tales by Charlotte Bronte: 'The Secret' & Lily Hart' (1978) which he transcribed from the originals of two of her unpublished juvenile manuscripts.
