Hershey is a retired music teacher who is the co-founder of Amusement Park Books, Inc. of Fairview Park, Ohio, publishers of books on amusement parks and related subjects. He is also involved in "FunGuide," a website begun in 1996 with over 430 web pages about hundreds of amusement, theme & water parks around the world, as well as historical facts about comtemporary parks and those of yesteryear. He has co-authored several books including
