Rosemary Wells
Prolific American author and illustrator of many award-winning children's picture books. Rosemary Wells was born in New York City 1943 and grew up on the New Jersey Shore. She began to draw when she was two years old. Wells attended the Boston Museum School. Her first book was an illustrated edition of Gilbert & Sullivan's I Have a Song to Sing-O. She has been an author and illustrator for more than 30 years and produced 60 books. She created many unforgettable characters such as Max and Ruby, Noisy Nora, and Yoko.
