Jim Harmon
American scfi short story writer and editor of books on vintage radio and television. James Judson Harmon's first book, The Great Radio Heroes published in 1967, became a classic which he revised and expanded in 2001. His many other non-fiction books include Radio Mystery and Adventure and Its Appearances in Film, Television and Other Media, Jim Harmon's Nostalgia Catalogue, The Great Radio Comedians, Radio and TV Premiums: A Guide to the History and Value of Radio and TV Premiums, and Radio Mystery and Adventure and Its Appearances in Film, Television and Other Media. He also co-authored The Great Television Heroes and The Great Movie Serials: Their Sound and Fury with Donald F. Glut; and edited three volumes of It's That Time Again. Harman has been prolific as a short story writer and has published his tales in leading science fiction magazines. Some of his stories have been published in a collection titled Harmon's Galaxy . Harmon also wrote, produced, and appeared in a revival of "Tom Mix" in the early 1980s, and was one of the earliest dealers to issue a catalog of tapes of old time radio shows.
