Phil Foglio
Hugo Award-winning American cartoonist and comic book artist. Foglio is best known for his humorous science fiction and fantasy work. He turned professional after winning two Hugo Awards for Best Fan Artist in 1977 and 1978, and began illustrating Robert Lynn Asprin's Myth Adventures novel series. During the 1980s, he wrote and illustrated a comic strip entitled What's New?" for Dragon Magazine, one of the official magazines for the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game. He also co-founded Ffantasy Ffactory, an independent comic book company, but left in 1984 to purse other projects and a variety of work for DC Comics, Marvel Comics, and First Comics. He co-founded the Palliard Press which published Buck Godot and the erotic series Xxxenophile over its short existence. He and his wife Kaja founded Studio Foglio in the 1990s which publishes Girl Genius, MythAdventures, XXXenophile and others. They have also done art for the collectible card game Magic: The Gathering. In addition to the two
