Howard J. Dodge
American author of Howard J. Dodge was born in the Midwest. Orphaned as an infant, he was reared by four different families each of which attempted to instill in him different political ideologies and religious beliefs. His early awareness of these serious conflicts lead to his 1971 book The Big Lie: The Unmasking of Our Untruthful Religious and Political Past. Dodge pursued higher education after working as a laborer, and then entered the business field to become owner-operator of a small corporation. Along the way, there was a six-year stretch with the U.S. Government in administrative work.
