Gilbert B. Cross
Author of children's mystery/adventure novels, educator, folklore and Victorian drama expert. Cross is now Professor Emeritus of English, Eastern Michigan University, where he taught courses in Folklore and Children's Literature, and Victorian drama. In addition to his novels for children, he has co-authored two scholarly books on folktales with Atelia Clarkson, and written an adult suspense/thriller triology under the pseudonyms "Jon Winters" and "J. C. Winters". Cross has also published other scholarly books and contributed many articles to scholarly publications.
